Can't I just waive the insurance?Effective 2006, all County employees must be enrolled in the County's health insurance program (medical, dental, and vision coverage) UNLESS they can provide evidence of medical coverage as a primary member or dependent under one of the following:
- Employer-provided group health plan;
- Employer-sponsored retiree group health plan;
- A group health plan sponsored by any branch of the United States military;
- Medicare recipient.
In the event there is some question whether your health plan meets the waiver criteria, the County Human Resources Director will make the final determination.
